Former United States President Donald Trump was officially nominated as the Republican Party’s presidential candidate for the upcoming November election on Monday.
The nomination was confirmed at the Republican National Convention held in Milwaukee.
Despite the ongoing roll call at the convention, Al Jazeera reports that Trump has already secured the necessary number of delegates to be confirmed as the party’s nominee.
This nomination solidifies Trump’s position as the Republican contender in the forthcoming presidential race.
