Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris has reached out to congratulate President-elect Donald Trump on his victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, in which Trump ran as the Republican candidate.
According to the Associated Press, Harris made the call on Wednesday, formally acknowledging Trump’s election win.
This victory marks Trump’s return to the White House as the 47th U.S. president, four years after he was voted out of office.
Harris stepped into the Democratic candidacy after President Joe Biden withdrew from the race in July, citing concerns about age and performance in early debates.
