During a press conference on Tuesday, Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate in the ongoing U.S. election, expressed his willingness to concede defeat if the electoral process is conducted fairly.

He stated, “If I lose an election, and it’s a fair election, I would be the first one to acknowledge it. So far, I think it’s been fair.” This statement came after he cast his vote in Florida.

Trump, who wore a red “Make America Great Again” cap, reiterated his longstanding criticisms of electronic voting machines. He claimed that these machines are less secure than traditional paper ballots and suggested that they could lead to delays in the announcement of election results. “Paper is more sophisticated now than computers. If it’s watermarked paper, you cannot… It’s unbelievable what happens with it. There’s nothing you can do to cheat,” he said.

In response to concerns about potential unrest following the election, Trump dismissed the notion that he would need to urge his supporters to refrain from violence. “I don’t have to tell them that there’ll be no violence. Of course there’ll be no violence. My supporters are not violent people,” he emphasized.
