The Obi-Kwankwaso Movement, popularly known as the OK Movement, has distanced itself from a purported list of members of its presidential campaign council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The movement, in a statement issued on Thursday, said it had not released or unveiled any presidential campaign council and urged members of the public and media organisations to disregard the circulating list.
The group said any official announcement concerning the presidential campaign council would be made by the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) through its recognised channels at the appropriate time.
The movement also disclosed that a new Director-General would soon be announced, adding that the current list circulating online should not be regarded as an official document.
The OK Movement is a political support and grassroots organisation associated with the proposed presidential ticket of Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso under the NDC platform.
The development comes amid increasing political activities and preparations for the 2027 elections, with various groups and political organisations beginning to mobilise supporters.
In a related development, the movement had earlier condemned an attack involving Peter Obi during his visit to Benue State, saying its members deliberately chose restraint to prevent the incident from escalating into a wider confrontation.
The group maintained that political aspirants have the constitutional right to campaign across the country and said political activities should not be disrupted through intimidation, harassment or violence.
The movement therefore called on the public, political stakeholders and media organisations to rely on official communication channels for information concerning its 2027 campaign structure.
