Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has reaffirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, promising to mobilise votes from the state for the President.
Adeleke made the commitment on Sunday, August 30, during a meeting with the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru.
The governor stressed that his pledge to support Tinubu was genuine and should not be interpreted as a political statement without substance.
Adeleke said he was a man of his word and would fulfil his commitment to helping the President secure overwhelming support in Osun State.
“I don’t make empty promises. When I said we will deliver Osun State votes to our dear father, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I meant it 100 per cent,” Adeleke said.
The governor also called on political actors in the state to put aside their differences and work together in support of the President.
According to him, political engagements should be built around honesty and integrity rather than personal interests.
“Politics must be with integrity. We are all from Osun State. Let’s forget our differences and work for the President,” he added.
Adeleke’s declaration comes amid growing political activities ahead of the 2027 elections, with political parties and key stakeholders beginning to strengthen their structures and alliances across the country.
The governor’s latest remarks further underscore his stated commitment to backing Tinubu as the political landscape gradually takes shape ahead of the presidential poll.
