President Bola Tinubu has directed the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, and other security agencies to intensify operations in Kaduna State following the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area.

The President’s directive comes after an attack on Monday reportedly left about 30 people dead, including women and children, while several others were abducted and homes set ablaze.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu strongly condemned the assault, describing it as a “barbaric and cowardly act” against innocent civilians.

He instructed security agencies to move swiftly to apprehend those responsible, rescue the kidnapped victims, and restore peace in the affected communities.

“I have directed the Armed Forces, police, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly, secure the release of abducted individuals, and restore normalcy to the region,” the President said.

Tinubu warned that those behind the attack would face justice, stressing that criminal groups seeking to destabilize the improving security situation in Kaduna State would not be allowed to succeed.

The President also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the nation’s security architecture through improved operational capacity and sustained action against violent criminal networks.

“Our administration has an unwavering commitment to strengthening security infrastructure, equipping response personnel, and neutralising criminal networks attempting to disrupt the peace of the nation,” he stated.»

Tinubu extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, as well as to Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, the state government, and residents affected by the tragedy.

He assured the people of Kaduna that the Federal Government would continue to support efforts aimed at restoring lasting peace and preventing further attacks.

The President further appealed to residents to work closely with security agencies by sharing credible and timely intelligence that could aid ongoing operations.
“I urge our local communities to cooperate with security forces by providing actionable intelligence that would help early response efforts,” Tinubu said.

Reiterating his administration’s resolve to protect lives and property, the President assured Nigerians that security operations targeting criminal elements would continue across Kaduna State and other parts of the country until lasting peace is achieved.
