Addressing the media, Idris emphasized that the report is entirely fabricated and propagated by individuals with malicious intent, aiming to destabilize the nation and undermine the current administration.
Idris reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to continue with ongoing reforms aimed at revitalizing the economy and fostering prosperity for all citizens, despite attempts to derail its efforts.
He pointed out that the dissemination of fake news is a clear indication of the desperation of certain individuals to sow discord and erode public trust in the government.
Asserting the government’s stance on national security and democracy, Idris affirmed that appropriate measures will be taken within the confines of the law to address any attempts aimed at destabilizing the nation.
Idris urged the public to exercise caution and refrain from spreading or amplifying baseless reports, cautioning against the use of compromised news platforms that serve to undermine the nation’s democratic values.
