In a statement released today, Primate Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, offered his predictions on the forthcoming judgment of the Presidential Election Tribunal.

The spiritual leader advised Nigerians not to hold high expectations for the tribunal’s decision, as he believes the chances of a significant reversal in the election outcome are slim.

Primate Ayodele, through his media aide Osho Oluwatosin, expressed doubts about the tribunal’s ability to bring about substantial changes, citing the reluctance of those in power to relinquish their positions. He argued that the current political establishment is determined to maintain its hold on power, even if it means impeding justice.

“As it is now, it is still dicey, the rerun isn’t certain but God can change anything. The majority of Nigerians will not like the outcome of the election tribunal,” the prophet stated. He cautioned against high expectations, reiterating that the powers that be are not inclined to let justice prevail.

Primate Ayodele specifically addressed the situation surrounding the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, suggesting that the judgment would not favor him or his supporters. He emphasized that the best-case scenario might be a rerun of the election or the preservation of the existing election outcome.

He also issued a call for calm, urging those who may not be content with the tribunal’s judgment to maintain law and order to avoid causing unnecessary unrest and chaos in the country.

“The judgment will not go the way Peter Obi and his followers want it. He can’t claim any victory through the tribunal, and just as I have said, the worst that can happen is a rerun of the election or it will remain the way it is,” Primate Ayodele asserted.

Furthermore, Primate Ayodele appealed to the judges involved in the case to prioritize the unity of the country and ensure that justice is served, regardless of any forms of intimidation. He recognized the existing tension in the country and stressed the importance of responsible and impartial judgment delivery.

“The judges can either make or mar the country with their judgments. There is tension in the country already, and the best they can do is to ensure justice prevails at all costs without regard for the several forms of intimidation. They should be responsible in delivering judgments regarding the case,” he concluded.

As Nigeria eagerly awaits the tribunal’s decision, Primate Ayodele’s insights add an intriguing dimension to the already intense political atmosphere surrounding the outcome of the presidential election.
