The Special Adviser on Policy Communication to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Daniel Bwala, has said more information about the record of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, would be made public in the coming days.
Bwala made the statement amid allegations by the Anambra State Government over unpaid debts and salaries reportedly linked to the period when Obi served as governor of the state.
In a post on his X handle on Friday, Bwala alleged that Obi obtained loans while serving as governor and accused him of denying the transactions.
He also said the former Anambra governor’s political promises should be examined against his record in office.
Bwala wrote, “They sit in the studio fighting government for collecting loans, only for them to hear that their hero c @PeterObi collected loans in Anambra and lied about it.”
He further stated, “Peter Obi himself is the case to be made against his aspirations. Everything about what he promises is fake as compared to what he has done as a governor.”
According to Bwala, the allegations concerning Obi’s record had reportedly surprised some of his supporters and media surrogates.
He added, “This is only testing the microphone, more records to come out in the coming days. He loves records, we would answer in kind. No insults, vitriol or hate speech; just his record. Selah.”
The latest exchange comes as political discussions intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
