Blessing Ezeokafor, daughter of kidnapped businessman and Jezco Group Chairman, Chief Joseph Ezeokafor, has publicly accused her younger brother, Eberechukwu Ezeokafor, popularly known as Jowizaza, of contributing to the family’s current crisis.

In a series of emotional posts on social media, Blessing appealed for the safe release of her father while alleging that her brother’s extravagant public image and display of wealth had created the impression that the family possessed enormous financial resources.

According to her, that perception may have influenced the kidnappers to increase their ransom demand after abducting the businessman.

She claimed that the kidnappers initially demanded ₦700 million but later raised the amount to ₦1.5 billion, insisting that the family could not afford such a payment.

“Why Jowizaza my brother? You are the cause of this madness. Social media noise, when we don’t have that money. You use audio money to make hoodlums think the money is available,” she wrote.

Blessing further alleged that the family was already burdened by substantial financial obligations and debts.

“Imagine, ₦1 Billion? If anything happens to my dad, I will hold you responsible. Making noise, when we are owing bank ₦40 billion. And these people think the money is there, see what your madness exposing has done to us,” she stated.

The distressed daughter also accused Jowizaza of previously mismanaging their father’s business affairs, claiming that he was eventually removed from his position as a director and placed on a monthly salary.

She maintained that despite the wealthy image associated with him on social media, he allegedly did not have the financial capacity being attributed to him.

“Fake life claiming what we don’t have. You are owing banks FCMB ₦40 billion, no hope to pay, you are owing Union Bank, you are struggling, even American company I introduced you guys Feedco, yet you keep making noise. Now your madness has made people think we have money,” she wrote.

Appealing directly to the kidnappers, Blessing insisted that the family was not as wealthy as widely believed.

“Kidnappers they don’t have money, it is audio money, please leave my dad alone. Please release him, they are swimming in debt,” she pleaded.

She explained that she decided to speak publicly because she feared the kidnappers might believe the family was deliberately withholding money.

“Some idiots are saying I should not talk what I know. So you want those kidnappers to think we have money and refused to give them and kill him there? I will now become fatherless,” she wrote.

Blessing added that her father urgently needed medication and that she was worried about his health while in captivity.

“At this point I need to talk so they can be talking reasonable of what we can provide. Dad needs his medication and I don’t want anything to happen to my dad,” she said.

She also criticised bloggers and social media users for exaggerating the family’s wealth online.

“See coming to Facebook was the biggest mistake my brother made. We have simple life not exaggerating wealth. Any blogger that I see exaggerating our wealth again will have questions to answer,” she warned.

As of the time of filing this report, Jowizaza had not publicly responded to the allegations made by his sister, and the family has not issued any official statement clarifying the claims.

Chief Joseph Ezeokafor’s kidnapping has generated significant public concern, with many Nigerians calling for intensified efforts by security agencies to secure his safe release.
