President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of two distinguished Nigerians to serve as Members on the Board of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS). The appointments, which are for a term of four (4) years, designate the individuals as representatives of the organized private sector.
In an official statement released on Friday night by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the appointed members are Dr. Aba Ibrahim and Dr. Muda Yusuf.
President Tinubu expressed his well-wishes to the newly appointed individuals, anticipating that their expertise and perspectives from the private sector would contribute significantly to the objectives of the Renewed Hope agenda. The primary focus is on actively promoting and attracting investments across various sectors of the economy. The President emphasized the importance of efficiently implementing ongoing reforms within the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).
The appointments are seen as a strategic move to ensure that the voices of the private sector are fully represented and that the Renewed Hope agenda’s goals are realized through effective collaboration and contributions from the newly appointed members on the Nigeria Customs Service Board.
