President Bola Tinubu is set to embark on a three-day official visit to Equatorial Guinea on Wednesday, following an invitation from President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

This announcement was made in a statement released on Tuesday by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity. According to Ngelale, President Tinubu will be joined on the trip by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, along with other key members of his cabinet.

During the visit, President Tinubu and President Obiang Nguema will hold discussions at the Presidential Villa in Malabo. The two leaders are expected to sign several agreements focused on strengthening cooperation in oil, gas, and security.

“President Bola Tinubu will, on Wednesday, August 14, depart Abuja for Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, on a three-day official visit to honor the invitation of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo,” the statement read. It added that the delegation accompanying the President will be actively involved in the signing of agreements and exploring ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two nations.
