President Bola Tinubu has extended his heartfelt sympathies to the families of victims, the people, and the government of Kaduna State in the wake of a tragic bombing incident in Tundun Biri village, Igabi Local Government Area.

The unfortunate incident occurred during a drone operation by the Nigerian Army on Sunday, resulting in numerous casualties and injuries as residents had gathered to mark Maulud festivities.

While currently attending the Climate Change Summit in Dubai, UAE, President Tinubu conveyed his sentiments through a statement issued by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, on Tuesday. The president described the incident as “very unfortunate, disturbing, and painful,” expressing deep sorrow and concern for the tragic loss of Nigerian lives.

In response to the calamity, President Tinubu has called for a thorough and comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the bombing. He urged authorities to conduct the probe diligently and has appealed for calm among the affected communities as the investigation unfolds.

Additionally, President Tinubu has directed swift and comprehensive medical attention for the surviving victims, emphasizing the need for immediate and thorough care. He offered prayers for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives in the tragedy.

The call for a thorough investigation reflects President Tinubu’s commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability in addressing the aftermath of the unfortunate incident. As the nation mourns the loss of lives, the focus now turns to understanding the events leading to the bombing and implementing measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.
