The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has officially lifted the suspension on all wet lease aircraft in the fleet of United Nigeria Airlines. This move follows the recent suspension, which was imposed after an incident where one of the aircraft mistakenly landed passengers at the Asaba International Airport instead of the intended destination, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA) in Abuja.

In response to the lifting of the suspension, the airline’s management issued a press statement expressing apologies to passengers for any inconvenience caused during the period of the suspension. The statement reassured the public that the airline is actively working to clear the backlog of flights affected by the temporary grounding of the aircraft.

The airline’s management stated, “We are pleased to announce the lifting of the suspension placed on our ‘Part G’ operations specifications, which affected one of our aircraft. We want to express our deepest gratitude to you for keeping faith with us and for your understanding during this period.”

Emphasizing their commitment to safety, the statement continued, “Safety is at the core of United Nigeria Airlines’ values, and we take our commitment to passenger safety very seriously.” The management acknowledged the disruption caused by the suspension and conveyed their sincere apologies to passengers, recognizing the impact on travel plans and trust in the reliability of the airline’s operations.

The press release concluded with an assurance that the airline’s dedicated team is working tirelessly to resolve the backlog of flight schedules. The airline expressed gratitude for passengers’ support, reaffirming a commitment to providing quality service. The statement also encouraged passengers to reach out to the customer support team for assistance and emphasized the availability of support to ensure a seamless travel experience.

As United Nigeria Airlines resumes its operations with the lifted suspension, passengers are expected to benefit from the airline’s continued dedication to safety and service quality.
