NNPC Chief Executive Ojulari Dismisses Resignation Rumors, Returns to Office

The Group Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, Bayo Ojulari, put an end to swirling resignation speculations on Monday as he reported for work at the corporation’s headquarters.

Ojulari’s arrival at the NNPC office at approximately 9:35 am effectively quashed social media reports claiming he had tendered his resignation from the top position at Nigeria’s state oil company.

According to a senior security official who spoke to reporters, the NNPC boss was conducting regular business operations without any disruption to his duties.

“The Group Chief Executive Officer is present at the office and carrying out his responsibilities normally. The resignation stories circulating on various social media platforms are completely baseless,” the security source disclosed.

The official also indicated that NNPC management had issued an internal circular instructing employees to ignore the unfounded allegations about Ojulari’s departure.

Since taking charge of the petroleum giant, Ojulari has been leading efforts to implement crucial reforms and organizational changes designed to enhance operational effectiveness and maintain investor confidence in Nigeria’s oil sector.

The false resignation reports had gained traction online before being definitively debunked by Ojulari’s physical presence at work and continued execution of his executive responsibilities.
