The Federal Government has initiated payments of N44,000 in minimum wage arrears to former National Youth Service Corps members, delivering on commitments made following the recent upward review of corps members’ monthly allowances.
The arrears payment represents the difference between the previous N33,000 monthly allowance and the new N77,000 rate, targeting former corps members who completed their service year before the enhanced allowance took effect.
