Tinubu Overthrow Plot: Police Offer ₦20 Million Bounty for British and Nigerian Suspects

The Nigeria Police Force has offered a ₦20 million reward for information leading to the arrest of Andrew Wynne, a British national also known as Andrew Povich or Drew Povey, and Lucky Ehis Obinyan, a Nigerian suspect. Both are accused of conspiring to overthrow the government of President Bola Tinubu.

In a Special Police Gazette Bulletin distributed at Force Headquarters, the duo is charged with terrorism financing, treasonable felony, cybercrime, subversion, and criminal conspiracy.

The bulletin stated, “Anyone with information that leads to their arrest should contact the nearest police station or the office of the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Department of Force Intelligence, Force Headquarters, Abuja, or call 08035179870, 09133333785, 09133333786. A reward of ₦10,000,000 will be given for information leading to the capture of each suspect.”

During a press conference, Force Headquarters Public Relations Officer Olumuyiwa Adejobi revealed that Wynne had rented a location at Labour House in Abuja, posing as the operator of ‘Iva Valley Bookshop,’ and had established ‘STARS of Nations Schools’ as a cover for his alleged subversive operations.

Adejobi added, “Documentary evidence and confessions indicate that Andrew Wynne issued directives and monitored the progress of the August protests.”

The police also reported that nine suspects, who had received significant financial backing from foreign sources, have been arrested. Initial findings suggest they organized and financed violent protests, spread false information, and engaged in other illegal activities to create chaos and justify their plan to overthrow the government.
