Nollywood is in mourning following the tragic death of actress and film producer Sharon Okpamen, just days after she celebrated the birth of her second child.
The actress had recently shared the joyous news of her new arrival on Instagram, but the happiness was short-lived as fellow movie producer Stanely Ontop confirmed her passing on social media.
In a heartfelt message, Stanely Ontop expressed the deep sorrow felt within the entertainment community: “Nollywood Actress and Producer Sharon Okpamen has unfortunately passed on. It’s a sad day for Nollywood and the Edo entertainment industry. Sharon, who was a filmmaker, actress, entrepreneur, and humanitarian, has left a significant void in the industry. May her soul rest in perfect peace, Amen.”
While the exact cause of Sharon’s death has not been officially confirmed, a comment from an Instagram user suggested that she may have passed away due to complications related to childbirth.
