President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will today depart Abuja for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President’s first destination is London, United Kingdom.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave,” Onanuga said.
He added that the President is expected to return to Nigeria after the working vacation and participate in preparations for the 2027 general election.
“His first stop will be London, United Kingdom,” the presidential aide stated.
Onanuga further disclosed that Tinubu would return home after the vacation to join what is expected to be an intensive campaign ahead of the January 2027 election.
“President Tinubu is expected to return home after the working vacation to join the hectic campaign for the January 2027 election,” he said.
The President’s departure comes as political activities continue to intensify ahead of the 2027 elections, with political parties and candidates expected to step up their campaigns in the coming months.
