The Presidency has unveiled its Citizens’ Delivery Tracker (CDT) initiative on Monday, aimed at fostering better engagement between citizens and the government by establishing a feedback mechanism for the administration’s eight priority areas under Bola Tinubu’s leadership.
Hadiza Bala-Usman, the President’s Special Adviser on Policy and Coordination, disclosed this development during the Go-Live event of the CDT in Abuja.
The platform, accessible via a web link (app.cdcu.gov.ng), will also be available as a downloadable app in the coming months, as per Bala-Usman’s announcement.
The unveiling of the CDT marks the culmination of an extensive process initiated after Tinubu announced ministerial assessment plans for ministers and heads of government agencies at the Cabinet Retreat held in November.
Bala-Usman elaborated on the efforts undertaken by the Central Delivery Coordination Unit (CDCU) to achieve key performance indicators, including multiple bilateral meetings with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) within a six-week timeframe.
The eight priority areas identified by the administration encompass economic reform for sustained inclusive growth, enhancing national security for peace and prosperity, advancing agriculture to ensure food security, and harnessing energy and natural resources for sustainable development.
Furthermore, the priorities include improving infrastructure and transportation to facilitate growth, prioritizing education, health, and social investment as fundamental components of development, accelerating diversification through industrialization, digitization, creative arts, manufacturing, and innovation, and enhancing governance for efficient service delivery.
