All is now set for the second edition of AfCTFA Women in Trade Conference which will be taking place from 6th to 8th December, 2023, at Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre–JNICC, in Dar es Salam, United Republic of Tanzania.

According to the announcement on its website and X (formerly Twitter) verified handle, the theme for this year’s conference is, “Enhancing the Participation of Women in Trade in the Acceleration of AfCTFA Implementation.”

The Spokesperson for the body stated that the objective behind the forum is to ensure that the AfCTFA works for the women of the continent, adding that they were building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, which brought together remarkable women and youth from across Africa. In her words, “This year our focus is entirely on women, and we are committed to making it even more inspiring and impactful.”

Meanwhile, the AfCTFA Secretariat has also announced the launch of the AfCTFA Moot Court Competition, taking place on the sidelines of the Women in Trade Conference. This innovative competition according to the statement, invites aspiring legal minds to delve into Africa Trade Law, offering a unique platform for simulating real-world trade disputes and enhancing skills in international Trade Law and Dispute Settlement.
