Gunmen, on Tuesday night, attacked the Nigerian Immigration Service
(NIS) outpost along the Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

It was learnt that the attack took place at about 10:00 p.m., when a nearby local livestock market was having rowdy activities, a situation that was said to have allowed the assailants to sneak past the NIS men.

It was further discovered that the officers on duty were caught unawares, overpowered, and dispossessed of their firearms.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ayanlade Olayinka, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), could not confirm the incident as of Wednesday morning.
