Bashir Ahmad, a former media aide to the late President Muhammadu Buhari, has dismissed as false reports claiming that former First Lady, Aisha Buhari, has agreed to marry former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami.

Ahmad addressed the rumour in a post shared on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, following the circulation of the claim across several online platforms. He described the story as baseless and misleading, stressing that it should not have gained any traction in the first place.

“This is not even a claim that should warrant serious debunking, because any reasonable person would dismiss it outright,” Ahmad wrote. “However, given that some individuals continue to push and circulate it, it is now necessary to state clearly that the story claiming Hajiya Aisha Buhari agreed to marry Sheikh Isa Ali Pantami is completely false. There is absolutely no truth to it whatsoever.”
