The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has mandated that all university admission seekers must fresh-upload their 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination results, following the board’s decision to clear all previously submitted academic records from its admission portal.

The examination body announced this requirement through an official communication released on Monday via its social media platform, affecting all candidates participating in the current admission cycle regardless of their previous submission status.

According to JAMB’s statement, the directive encompasses two categories of candidates: those who had already submitted their WASSCE results before the final examination outcomes were published, and others who have not yet uploaded any academic credentials to the system.

The board explained that it took the decision to purge all existing result uploads from its database to prevent administrative complications during the admission evaluation process. This comprehensive system reset means that every candidate must now return to authorized JAMB centers to resubmit their academic documents.

JAMB noted that many candidates had begun submitting their WAEC results while the examination body was still processing final grades, creating potential discrepancies in the admission database. The board stated that clearing all prior submissions would eliminate confusion and ensure accuracy in the evaluation process.

The examination body specifically addressed candidates who participated in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination while awaiting their secondary school results. These individuals were instructed to upload their O’Level credentials immediately upon official release by the West African Examinations Council.

In its directive, JAMB emphasized that the requirement applies universally, regardless of whether candidates’ final results differ from any previously uploaded versions. The board stressed that even candidates whose results remain unchanged must comply with the fresh upload mandate.

The statement warned that non-compliance with this directive would have serious consequences for candidates’ admission prospects. JAMB made clear that failure to resubmit results within the specified timeframe could render candidates ineligible for consideration in the current admission cycle.

“Please re-upload your 2025 SSCE result to the JAMB portal without delay,” the board urged candidates, emphasizing the urgency of compliance with the new requirement.

This development adds another procedural step for thousands of candidates seeking university admission across Nigeria, requiring them to revisit accredited JAMB centers to complete the fresh upload process. The directive affects all candidates regardless of their performance level or the institutions they are seeking to enter.

The board’s decision reflects ongoing efforts to maintain data integrity within Nigeria’s centralized university admission system. By clearing all previous uploads and requiring fresh submissions, JAMB aims to ensure that admission decisions are based on verified and current academic records.

Candidates are advised to visit the nearest accredited JAMB registration center with their original WASSCE results to complete the fresh upload process. The board has not specified a deadline for compliance, though it emphasized the need for immediate action to avoid jeopardizing admission eligibility.

This requirement comes as universities across Nigeria prepare to commence their admission processes for the current academic session, making timely compliance essential for candidates hoping to secure placement in their preferred institutions.
