Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, Embarks on Official Trip to Europe and Asia

The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for upholding the rule of law in the recently conducted local government elections in the state.

Speaking to journalists in his hometown of Ede on Saturday, Adeleke dismissed reports suggesting he had made negative remarks about the president, labeling them as “fake news.”

“I did not at any point utter any negative remarks about Mr. President,” Adeleke stated. “All the news articles suggesting that I made negative remarks against the president are false. I have been very supportive and collaborative with the federal government. In my two broadcasts, I did not in any way attack the president.”

The governor urged the public and stakeholders to disregard the misinformation, reaffirming his commitment to maintaining a positive relationship with the federal government. “I urge the public and stakeholders to ignore the fake news, as I did not attack President Tinubu in any way before and during the ongoing local government election.”

Adeleke also commended the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) for organizing a smooth and seamless election process. He acknowledged the efforts of the commission in ensuring a fair and peaceful exercise.

Similarly, the Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye, praised the electorate for turning out in large numbers to participate in the democratic process. Speaking to journalists in Osogbo, he lauded OSSIEC’s efforts in conducting a credible election.

“I want to commend the electorate for coming out en masse to cast their votes,” Igbalaye said. “The election has been peaceful, and I know that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will emerge victorious.”

As the election results are awaited, the state government continues to emphasize its dedication to transparent governance and the democratic process.
