The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has announced a new recruitment initiative, encouraging a wide array of candidates, including women, minorities, and persons with disabilities, to apply for various roles.
While positions are immediately available in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Ekiti, Lagos, and Oyo, successful applicants may be assigned to any FIRS office across Nigeria.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, candidates must meet specific criteria:
- Age Limit: Candidates must not exceed 27 years of age by December 31, 2024.
- NYSC Completion: Prospective applicants should have completed their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program by December 31, 2021.
- Educational Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) with a First Class or Second Class Upper Division is required in fields like Accounting, Actuarial Science, Computer Engineering, Economics, Law, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
While not mandatory, applicants with additional qualifications, such as a relevant Master’s degree or professional certifications like ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, COREN, or NSE, are encouraged to apply, as these may strengthen their candidacy.
