Former U.S. President Donald Trump has once again pointed fingers at President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, accusing them of being responsible for an alleged attack on his life.
Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, made this claim in a post on his X handle on Monday.
Trump specifically criticized Vice President Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, accusing her of spreading lies during the recent ABC-hosted presidential debate. He argued that her false statements and rhetoric have escalated hatred and violence in American politics.
“The lies and rhetoric, especially from Comrade Kamala Harris during the rigged, partisan ABC Debate, have taken political hostility in our country to dangerous new levels. The absurd lawsuits designed to harm Joe’s and later Kamala’s political opponent, me, have only increased this hatred and distrust,” Trump wrote.
He further warned that this “left-wing rhetoric” is fueling violence, saying, “Because of this communist rhetoric, bullets are flying, and it’s only going to get worse. Allowing millions of people, from places unknown, to invade our country is an unpardonable sin.”
Trump reiterated his plans to tighten immigration policies if elected in November, vowing to deport illegal immigrants from the U.S. “Our borders must be sealed, and terrorists, criminals, and the mentally unstable must be removed from our cities and towns, deported back to their home countries. We want people to come into our country, but they must do so legally, and they must love our nation,” he said.
In his post, Trump also thanked the U.S. Secret Service, law enforcement officials, and Sheriff Ric Bradshaw for their efforts in protecting him during the alleged incident. “I want to express my gratitude for your concern and well wishes. Today was certainly an interesting day. Most importantly, I want to thank the U.S. Secret Service, Sheriff Ric Bradshaw, and all law enforcement for the outstanding job in keeping me safe at Trump International,” Trump wrote, concluding with praise for the security efforts that protected him.
