The Presidency has responded to the commencement of Lagos-London flight services by Air Peace, lauding the airline for achieving this significant milestone. Air Peace announced the launch of its Lagos-London flight services via its official social media page on Saturday, March 30, 2024.

Expressing delight at the milestone, the airline extended gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the launch. In response to this development, a presidential aide, Dada Olusegun, congratulated the airline’s owner, Allen Onyeama, for accomplishing a feat that is poised to have a profound impact on Nigeria’s economy.

Olusegun highlighted the positive implications of the new flight route, emphasizing that it would alleviate pressure on Nigeria’s foreign exchange reserves and lead to competitive ticket prices for Nigerians traveling between the two destinations. He stated, “Here is congratulating Chief Allen Onyeama for accomplishing this milestone that will have a massive impact on the economy of Nigeria and also improve the standard of service enjoyed by Nigerians via this Nigeria-London route.”

Furthermore, the presidential aide underscored the progress being made in Nigeria’s aviation sector, stating, “We are not where we want to be, but surely, we are not where we used to be. Slowly but surely, we will get there.”

The commencement of Lagos-London flight services by Air Peace marks a significant development in Nigeria’s aviation industry, offering increased connectivity and convenience for travelers while contributing to the nation’s economic growth.
