In response to swirling social media rumors, Buckingham Palace has adamantly refuted claims of King Charles III’s demise. The Palace issued a statement on Monday, dismissing the viral speculations about the monarch’s health.

Contrary to the false reports, the Palace confirmed that King Charles III is presently undergoing cancer treatment but remains alive and in recovery.

“We are pleased to confirm that The King is actively engaged in both official and private affairs,” the statement asserted, as reported by the New York Post.

Amidst this challenging period, Prince William has stepped up to fulfill royal duties in the absence of his father, who is undergoing cancer treatment, and his mother, Catherine, who is recuperating from surgery.

The unexpected revelation of the King’s cancer diagnosis, disclosed approximately a month ago, coupled with Catherine’s recent medical procedure, has placed considerable responsibilities on Prince William’s shoulders.

William, aged 41 years old, the eldest son and heir to the throne, had initially postponed public engagements to support his wife, the Princess of Wales, and their three children, following her hospital admission on January 16.

As King Charles III undergoes treatment, Prince William is expected to shoulder some of his father’s responsibilities, supported by senior royals Princess Anne and Queen Camilla, who will assist in distributing the workload.

While Buckingham Palace has refrained from disclosing the specific type of cancer afflicting the 75-year-old monarch, it has been clarified that it does not pertain to prostate cancer.
