Governor Aiyedatiwa Inaugurates Six Commissioners, Eight Special Advisers, and Head of Service in Ondo State

In a significant development for Ondo State’s governance, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has administered the oath of office to six commissioners and eight special advisers, urging them to prioritize public service and good governance in their roles.

The ceremony, held in the state capital of Akure, signifies a crucial moment in Ondo’s administration as it aims to elevate governance standards and enhance service delivery to its populace.

During the swearing-in ceremony on Friday, Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized the paramount importance of the newly appointed officials considering their roles as a call to service. He underscored the need for exemplary leadership within the public service, urging the appointees to discharge their duties with integrity and unwavering dedication to the welfare of Ondo State’s citizens.

The governor extended his charge to the newly appointed Head of Service, Mr. Bayo Philip, emphasizing the pivotal role of leadership in realizing the state’s governance objectives.

Aiyedatiwa’s message to the appointees underscored their responsibility to act as exemplary ambassadors for the state government, embodying principles of transparency, efficiency, and responsiveness in their official capacities.

He stated, “As commissioners and special advisers, you are coming on board at a very critical time. It, therefore, behoves you to come up with creative ideas and policies geared towards alleviating the sufferings of our people. We cannot afford to fail in this regard.”

The governor also urged the public not to exert undue pressure on the new appointees, allowing them to perform their duties without hindrance or distraction.

The newly appointed Head of Service, Bayo Philip, reiterated a commitment to upholding discipline and meritocracy within the civil service, emphasizing punctuality and diligence in the workforce.

The commissioners sworn in include Mr. Emmanuel Igbasan, Engr Razaq Obe, Mrs Omowumi Isaac, Mr. Kayode Ajulo, Mr. Akinwumi Sowore, and Mr. Oyeniyi Oseni. Meanwhile, the Special Advisers appointed are Mr. Olugbenga Omole, Mrs. Olamide Falana, Hon. Alabi Johnson, Mr. Summy Smart-Francis, Mrs. Olawunmi Ilawole, Pastor Babalola Ayoade, Mr. Abdulganiy Muhammed, and Prof. Simidele Odimayo.

In his response, Emmanuel Igbasan, speaking on behalf of the appointees, expressed gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa for the trust vested in them, pledging their unwavering support for the state government’s agenda.
