Popular Nigerian rapper and actor, Ikechukwu Onunaku, has made a public statement confirming the end of his marriage to Brunella Oscar. The couple, who wedded in May 2021 in a grand ceremony attended by notable personalities in the entertainment industry, have parted ways due to irreconcilable differences.
In a recent interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, Ikechukwu revealed that issues such as gaslighting, fault-finding, and interference from third parties had contributed to the breakdown of their marriage. Despite efforts to salvage the relationship, the 40-year-old rapper expressed feeling oppressed by his ex-wife and cited instances where he felt belittled.
He emphasized that infidelity was not the reason for their separation but rather a culmination of various factors that made continuing the marriage untenable. Ikechukwu stated, “I tried to save our marriage but I got to a point where I couldn’t tolerate my ex-wife’s excesses anymore and I showed her my other side and we couldn’t bear it.”
