The presidency has assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu is attuned to their concerns and consistently recognizes the challenges faced by the populace. According to Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, the president actively listens to the pulse of the people, reading newspapers and columnists to understand public opinion.

Onanuga emphasized that President Tinubu is not only compassionate but also dedicated to easing the difficulties encountered by Nigerians. He highlighted the president’s responsiveness, citing the recent decision to introduce a 50 percent transport fare rebate during the Yuletide season as an example of Tinubu’s commitment to ensuring that Nigerians do not suffer.

In a post, Onanuga stated, “President Tinubu listens to Nigerians and feels the pulse of the people all the time. He reads newspapers daily, reads the columnists, and is able to distill public opinion. In many of his engagements, he has always acknowledged the temporary problems people are going through and is always receptive to ideas about ameliorating the situation and giving succour to the people.”

He further added, “Besides, President Tinubu is naturally a man of compassion. He will do anything to ensure that our people do not suffer.”
