FULL LIST: Blacklisted Foreign Universities In Nigeria

The Federal Ministry of Education in Nigeria has taken action against foreign universities, particularly those in the Republic of Benin and Togo, after an undercover investigation revealed the operations of a degree mill in Cotonou, the capital of Benin Republic.

In response to the findings, the ministry declared that degree credentials from the Republic of Benin and Togo would no longer be evaluated or accredited in Nigeria. The decision aims to protect Nigerian students from engaging with institutions involved in fraudulent practices.

The blacklisted institutions include:

  1. University of Applied Sciences and Management, Port Novo, Republic of Benin or any of its other campuses in Nigeria.
  2. Volta University College, Ho, Volta Region, Ghana or any of its other campuses in Nigeria.
  3. The International University, Missouri, USA, Kano and Lagos Study Centres, or any of its campuses in Nigeria.
  4. Collumbus University, UK operating anywhere in Nigeria.
  5. Tiu International University, UK operating anywhere in Nigeria.
  6. Pebbles University, UK operating anywhere in Nigeria.
  7. London External Studies UK operating anywhere in Nigeria.

The Nigerian government has issued a warning to citizens, cautioning them against enrolling in these blacklisted institutions, as their credentials will not be recognized. This move underscores the commitment to ensuring the integrity of educational qualifications in the country and protecting students from illegitimate operations.
