The First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident of the erroneous bombing in Tudun Biri village, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The drone strike, carried out by the Nigerian Army, resulted in the loss of 87 lives and left 70 others injured, according to the Kaduna State Government.

In a statement released on Friday via her official handle, Mrs. Tinubu lamented the devastating impact of the incident and conveyed her condolences to the affected families. She commiserated with Governor Uba Sani and the people of Kaduna State, particularly those in Tudun Biri Village, who have been profoundly affected by the tragedy.

Expressing a sense of responsibility and motherly compassion, the First Lady shared the collective grief with those mourning the loss of their loved ones. She emphasized the pain of losing family members and acknowledged that the lives lost were more than statistics—they were sons, daughters, mothers, and fathers, cherished members of a tightly-knit community.

Mrs. Tinubu urged collective strength and support for those affected, emphasizing the need for love and compassion during these trying times. She called for unity in embracing one another, seeking solace and healing as a community in the face of profound loss.

“As I send my heartfelt condolences, let us embrace one another in love and compassion, supporting those affected. In our collective grief, may we find strength to heal,” the First Lady stated. The incident has raised significant concerns and calls for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the erroneous bombing in Kaduna.
