In the wake of the devastating Tudun Biri village bombing that claimed over 90 lives, President Bola Tinubu has unequivocally declared that those responsible for the heinous act will face appropriate punishment.

The president also announced a comprehensive support plan for the victims through the newly unveiled Folako Initiative, with the reconstruction of Tudun Biri village slated to be the inaugural project under this initiative.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Tinubu, conveyed these announcements during a visit to the Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, where he extended heartfelt condolences to the affected families. Shettima underscored the federal government’s unwavering commitment to tackling banditry in the region.

Speaking on behalf of President Tinubu, Shettima stated, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu sent us to commiserate with the people of Kaduna over the tragic incident. The caliber of people that are here with me is a testimony to how deeply touched the president was by the incident.”

Assuring the people of Kaduna, Shettima highlighted the government’s determination to safeguard the nation’s interests and outlined the concrete steps being taken to address the aftermath of the tragedy.

“The victims will be well taken care of under the Folako Initiative, which is set to commence this month. Tudun Biri village will be the first to be rebuilt in the northwest zone under this initiative,” Shettima affirmed.

He further pledged that all necessary measures would be implemented to prevent future occurrences, emphasizing the government’s commitment to unraveling the root causes of the incident. Shettima concluded by assuring that anyone found culpable in connection to the Tudun Biri bombing would face appropriate punishment, reiterating the government’s resolve to ensure justice prevails.
