The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially opened the floor to potential buyers interested in acquiring the Falcon 900B aircraft, part of the country’s presidential air fleet. The move comes in the wake of the federal government’s approval to divest itself of the said aircraft.

Details outlining the sale were disseminated through an official publication shared on the NAF’s official channels late Monday, marking a crucial step in the process.

“The Federal Government of Nigeria has given its approval for the sale of the Falcon 900B aircraft owned by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF). In adherence to the stipulations of the Public Procurement Act 2007, the NAF invites all interested parties to submit bids for the purchase of the aircraft. Bids can be submitted either through email or physical means.

“If submitted via email, the bids are required to be password-protected and sent to dproc@airforce.mil.ng. Simultaneously, the password is to be sent separately to dproc2@airforce.mil.ng.

“For physical submissions, the quotations must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the interested company/entity. Additionally, it should include a clear description and reference to the request, along with the statement ‘DO NOT OPEN BEFORE 24 DECEMBER 2023.’ It is essential to note that the bids will be processed immediately after the expiration of the submission deadline,” read a portion of the publication.

As the bidding process unfolds, all eyes will be on the outcome and the subsequent impact on Nigeria’s presidential air fleet.
