The management of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as MohBad, has confirmed his death. He was 27 years old.

The statement, which was posted on MohBad’s Instagram and X handles on Tuesday, said: “It is with great sadness that we confirm the passing of Promise Oladimeji Aloba PK/A Mohbad (Imole) today, the 12th of September, 2023.”

The statement did not give a cause of death, but said that MohBad was “light until the very end.”

MohBad was a rising star in the Nigerian music industry. He was known for his hit singles “Ponmo,” “Feel Good,” and “KPK (Ko Por Ke).” He was also a member of the Marlian Music label, founded by Nigerian singer Naira Marley.

MohBad’s death has been met with shock and sadness by his fans and colleagues. Nigerian rapper Olamide, who signed MohBad to Marlian Music, wrote on Twitter: “Damn! Mohbad!”

Popular television host Frank Edoho also expressed his sadness, writing: “For the age of 27, his voice was too rich and mature. So depressing! Rest in Peace, Mohbad!”

MohBad’s family has asked for privacy during this difficult time.

The cause of MohBad’s death is still unknown. However, his death is a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment.

MohBad’s music will continue to live on and inspire people for many years to come. He will be remembered as a talented singer and songwriter who had a bright future ahead of him.
